WADA Reverses Course of Hemp-Derived CBD – January 2018
The Olympics are approaching and world class athletes around the global can use CBD. On January 1, 2018, WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) reversed course on the hemp-derived compound, CBD. The helpful anti-inflammatory compound derived from cannabis has been removed from WADA’s 2018 Prohibited Substances list.
Cannabidiol is no longer prohibited, however THC and marijuana use is still disallowed. A positive marijuana test can result in long suspensions from the world sports stage. When picking a hemp derived CBD product make sure the label clearly states THC free.
